When you book a Disney resort,
you'll have the option of choosing to participate in a Disney Dining
Plan. The Disney Dining Plans have become a popular way to save money
while visiting Disney.
Florida residents, you may wish to pass on
this. The Disney Dining Plans can not be combined with Florida resident
room rate specials. You'll usually save more money by booking a room
with a Florida resident rate combined with the
Tables in Wonderland card
(formerly the Disney Dining Experience card). For everyone
else, the Disney Dining Plans are well worth considering.
For the Quick (Counter) Service
meals you'll save 20% and for the Disney Deluxe dining Plan you'll save
40% on your restaurant bills. Included on the plans are snacks, Quick
(Counter) Service Meals and Table Service Meals at over 100 selected
restaurants throughout the Walt Disney World® Resort, including some
restaurants that feature Disney Character Dining.
If you have special dietary needs,
they will be handled exactly as they would have been if you didn't have
the Disney Dining Plan.
Other benefits of the Disney
Dining Plans include:
-
Allowing you to budget meals
during your Walt Disney World vacation
-
Dining at your choice of over
100 participating restaurants in the Disney Parks and Hotels and
throughout tall of Walt Disney World
-
You won't need to carry or pay
with cash
Here's how it works:
-
At the restaurant, you'll
present your Key to the World card to your server before ordering.
It electronically includes your family's allocated meals.
-
You'll be able to track your
meals with the receipt your server will provide you with.
-
You'll have the flexibility of
redeeming your meals in any order or in any amount throughout your
package stay.
-
As with all of Disney dining,
many table-service restaurants are very popular and book quickly.
Since the Disney Dining Plan was begun it has become increasingly
more difficult to obtain reservations close to your arrival date. Be
sure to make your dining reservations as early as possible. You can
do this as early as 180 days in advance by calling (407) 939-3463.
Please note that there
have been changes in the entitlements of the Disney Dining Plans from
prior years, so please check in advance.
