Walking into this restaurant is like stepping
through a time machine. Many people will feel like they're in
their own kitchen in the 1950's. Most of the wait staff will play
the role of cousin telling you to take your elbows off the table or to
finish your vegetables. You may even be required to play the
airplane game as your waiter/waitress flies your beans into your mouth.
This can be a blast or not, depending on your comfort level with this
role playing. The level of interaction with your wait person will
depend on their personality, your personality and how pressured for time
they are. When it's super crowded they may have less time to do their
thing.
Television sets are everywhere showing clips from
old black and white TV shows. There's a lot of authentic
decorations that are fun to look over while you're waiting. The
food is homey comfort food.
