Letter from the author to you!

Dear
Reader,
You may
wonder what makes this book so different. Disney World is an awesome
place. The staff works hard to see to the comfort and safety of their
guests, especially their disabled guests. Still, for years we went to
Disney World without the benefit of in-depth information from anyone who
really understood firsthand the challenges we faced. The available
pamphlets and books never touched on all kinds of things we really
needed to know (and eventually learned) in order to plan with confidence
for a safe, comfortable and relaxing vacation.
Over the years we encountered
many issues and situations that caused physical pain, discomfort or
stress. Also, there was so much assistance available to us that we
didn't know about. After several years of research and experience,
Disney has become smooth sailing and a joyful getaway for us, and we
want to share what we’ve learned with you! We bring you all the
extensive insights, tips and information we’ve gathered that have given
us the edge when we travel to Disney World. We also include
firsthand tips and insights from people with disabilities and challenges
that we don't personally deal with.
We know how
difficult it can be to go to a totally new environment, especially one
as unusual as Disney World. Our goal is to help you enjoy
all the wonders and fun Disney has to offer without stressing or
worrying about what you will encounter. We also hope to help you come
very prepared so that your time will be spent having a carefree
vacation, as opposed to researching, seeking help, recovering after
doing something you shouldn’t have or missing things you wished you had
tried.
Disney World, even with
disabilities, can be a blast! Enjoy the book and, most of all, enjoy
your trip!
Stephen &
Sarah Asher
